A cheerful Jusuf Nurkic strolled down the main corridor at Pepsi Center around 10:30 a.m. Monday morning, greeted a few familiar faces from the Denver Nuggets training staff and then proceeded further down the hallway towards the arena's visiting locker room for the first time in his four-year career. It's Nurkic first trip back to Denver since the Nuggets traded the disgruntled center to Portland last February.
Rounds one and two went to the Trail Blazers. Round three went to the Nuggets. Round four, which will take place at 7 p.m. Monday at Pepsi Center, will determine if Denver can pull even with Portland since the two sides made a major trade in February.
