The Nuggets are about to hop in their DeLorean and time travel back to 2019. If the offensive execution at times in the Nuggets’ first-round matchup against the Spurs set basketball back, as Gregg Popovich stated after his team’s Game 7 loss last week, Denver’s second-round matchup versus the Portland Trail Blazers will look much more like basketball is played…...

The trade caught Mason Plumlee completely by surprise. When Portland dealt Plumlee to Denver 10 days before the 2017 trade deadline, the Trail Blazers’ starting center was averaging a career-high 11.1 points, 8.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game. Plumlee was not a perfect fit, but a solid one nonetheless alongside Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum. And fresh off a…...

It wasn’t the prettiest performance from Nuggets star center Nikola Jokic Monday against the Portland Trail Blazers. It certainly wasn’t his most efficient either. Jokic shot just 5-14 from the field for 15 points and was bothered by former teammate and rival big man Jusuf Nurkic for much of the evening. But in winning time, with his team’s back against…...

A cheerful Jusuf Nurkic strolled down the main corridor at Pepsi Center around 10:30 a.m. Monday morning, greeted a few familiar faces from the Denver Nuggets training staff and then proceeded further down the hallway towards the arena's visiting locker room for the first time in his four-year career. It's Nurkic first trip back to Denver since the Nuggets traded the disgruntled center to Portland last February.

Was Nikola Jokic’s performance against Jusuf Nurkic and Portland just another good game or a significant step in his career? Will Emmanuel Mudiay return to Denver’s rotation on Tuesday when he’s expected to be in the lineup versus Utah? Will Nuggets coach Michael Malone stick with a shorter rotation? That and more on the Monday edition of the BSN Nuggets Podcast.

Denver Nuggets star center Nikola Jokic’s first two matchups against his former teammate Jusuf Nurkic didn’t go exactly to plan. Last season’s March 28 loss in Portland was perhaps the toughest defeat of the Nuggets’ 2016-17 campaign. Nurkic played the best game of his career and laid 33 points and 15 rebounds on Denver. The Trail Blazers took a one-game lead for the eighth…...
