Pat Bryant made the best catch of training camp on Saturday.

The Denver Broncos were early on in red zone drills, when Bo Nix lined his offense up just outside the 5-yard line. Pat Bryant aligned on the right boundary and Nix lobbed a ball to the back pylon for Bryant to go and get. Ja’Quan McMillian was on Bryant’s right side. Jahdae Barron was on his left. 

Somehow, Bryant cleared space, leapt, and reeled the ball in as he went to the ground. It was unbelievable.

“He’s the guy in that room — he blocks, he catches the ball in traffic, he can track the ball vertically, he’s great in the red zone,” defensive coordinator Vance Joseph said after practice. “He’s the complete package. He’s got great size and he loves to play. He’s the same player every day.”

Bryant has been the Broncos’ most impressive receiver during training camp. While most of his work hasn’t been flashy—catches over the middle or quick out routes—he added a highlight-reel play on Saturday, rounding out his resume through eight days of training camp.

“I feel like that’s how you are successful in this league, focusing on that consistency,” Bryant said on Friday. “Honestly coming out here every day, working on my craft. As a receiver, you have to catch the ball, so I do that as much as I can.”
