BOULDER — The heater continues!
The Buffs picked up their second commitment of the day and third in two days on Saturday when tight end Tucker Ashcraft tweeted he plans to join Colorado. The Buffs now have nine commitments in the 2023 cycle, three times as many as any other team in the Pac-12. Ashcraft is the second tight end in Colorado’s ’23 class.

Ashcraft’s calling card is in the running game but he’s a fairly well-rounded prospect. At 6-foot-5 and 235 pounds, he has the size to play at the Pac-12 level. He’s a .81 prospect according to the 247Sports composite. He also had offers to Air Force and several Big Sky Conference schools.
Ashcraft is the ninth commitment in the 2023 cycle, joining running back AJ Newberry, linebacker CJ Turner, safety Adrian Wilson, edge rusher Cam Bizor, wide receiver Edward Schultz, safety Adrian Wilson, tackle Naquil Betrand, quarterback Ryan Staub and tight end Andrew Metzger in the Buffs’ 2023 class.
