Report: Boulder County clears Buffs to start practice

BOULDER – The final hurdle in the Buffs’ path is no more.

Boulder County Public Health has approved the Buffs’ plan to resume practice on Friday, according to The Boulder Daily Camera’s Brian Howell.

The county implemented a stay-at-home order just over two weeks ago that forbid any 18- to 22-year-olds from gathering. The order expired Thursday and will be replaced by new, less-intensive orders. Those orders will not apply to University of Colorado athletics activities, according to Howell.

Following the county’s decision, Stanford and Cal are the only Pac-12 schools that appear to have local restrictions prohibiting them from practicing when camps are allowed to open Friday. On Wednesday, Cal head coach said the Bay Area schools “are anticipating getting clearance today or tomorrow.”
