RJ Vick looked like an all-conference receiver in his Colorado State debut. Wyoming’s coaches had no answers for slowing him down at any point Saturday night. And the defensive backs on the field certainly had no shot staying in front of him.
With six catches for 75 yards and a trio of touchdowns, Vick became the first CSU receiver to produce three receiving scores in the same game since Tory Horton did so against Utah Tech in 2023.
Vick is the first Rams receiver to catch three touchdowns against Wyoming since Deion Morton in the 2008 Border War.
Many greats, like Trey McBride (2020) and Rashard Higgins (2014), caught two touchdowns in big wins over the Cowboys. But a three-score game in a rivalry of this magnitude puts Vick in a pretty exclusive club. In fact, the only other CSU player this century to score three times against Wyoming is Kapri Bibbs, who went off in a 30-point beatdown of the Pokes in 2013.
