Colorado State signed up for 60 minutes on Saturday night.
In a dominant 35-13 victory over the Wyoming Cowboys, the Rams reinvigorated the Fort Collins community with an inspiring performance in the 2026 season opener.
Having come into the year with an eight-game losing streak in game one, this proud fanbase was anxious with anticipation, praying, hoping, even begging for things be different in the Jim Mora era. And to the credit of the players, as well as the coaching staff, the Rams delivered the exact type of clutch performance that we needed to see.
315 days earlier, the Cowboys and their supporters gleefully relished in the collective misery of CSU Football, storming the field in triumph after completely embarrassing the Rams in a 28-0 shutout.
On this night, though, in front of a record-setting crowd of 40,548 people, CSU looked absolutely nothing like the squad who got bullied by a Jay Sawvel-led team in 2025. It was a completely different brand of football.
