  • Hey guys- just started listening to the draft pod a few weeks ago, and really getting into it!

Just a quick question- we know the Broncos are dying for a speed receiver, and I’m 100% on board with taking Ruggs with the first pick.

My question is, how much of a better prospect is he compared to Reagor in the 2nd or Duvernay in the 3rd? Is the dropoff between Ruggs and the second/third tier guys that big, or would the Broncos be better off taking say, a corner in the 1st, and then taking a speed receiver later.

    Thanks!

  • What do you gents think of Prince Tega Wanogho? 2nd rd? Would he fit in the broncos system ?

    Love
    The Count

  • I haven’t been following the draft process nearly as closely in the past, that being said how good is this class as far as top WRs goes?

Where would Sutton be in this class purely as a prospect not counting what we know now? Who would he be above or behind?

If castonzo hits the market you throw the bag at him then go WR in round 1 for sure.

    Thanks guys!

  • Hey Henry,

So JMU punched their ticket to the Championship and so did I! It will be a great game against NDSU but I can’t wait to storm the field when we win! Also for anyone who doesn’t think this is that big of a game Carson Wentz went to NDSU. So there should be some nfl prospects in this game. Who do you see getting drafted or playing in the nfl? Would any fit the Broncos? I know a long reach and better for veteran qb to mentor lock but I would love Dinucci as our back up qb and wouldn’t have to draft him. He’s Mobil, has a decent arm, but most importantly is smart and doesn’t make a lot of mistakes.
    Thanks

  • Hey guys sorry for the double question but my draft intrigue is growing as the end of season approaches.

Jedrick wills seems to be flying up boards, what are y’all thoughts? Is he a new option for Denver in the 8-17 range they are slated to pick, what’s to high and too low for him? Do you like him at all?

Is isiah Simmons purely a luxury pick at this point? Would you trade back if he’s BPA on the board or take him.

  • In the pod after the game, the boys talked about the ‘no names’ that Fangio can get playing well in his system, with that in mind, what percentage split between offence and defence would you be happy with in the draft?

I hope this doesn’t sound as dumb as a question as it sounds in my head, but how do you watch tape on someone? Other than YouTube.

  • Happy Drew Year and happy offseason to the draft guys! Hope y’all had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I started becoming more and more interested in the draft and scouting players a few years ago, and I like to think I’ve gotten pretty good at my evaluations of QB prospects. In recent years, all I’ve really evaluated has been the QBs because the Broncos didn’t have one and that was enough to occupy me. This is the first time in a while that we are going into the draft and QB is not on the list of needs.
So can y’all help me out and go through a list of different positions and tell the good DNVR listeners what you look for in your evaluations? Particularly of interest for me in this draft is WR! I think that’s where the Broncos are looking and it’s where I hope they go this draft!

Also curious for your thoughts on this.. on the Broncos pod, RK and Zac are all in on Drew, while Mase just refuses to give an answer, other than to say he’s the 2020 Week 1 starter. Where do you guys stand? Since your the draft guys, how does his 5 game sample size compare to his college work? How has he progressed, and what areas does he need continued improvement?

Lots of questions today, but only because it its hap-happiest season of all….draft season! Thanks for your work!
