BOULDER — The Buffs are headed to the postseason… well some of them are.

Linebackers Nate Landman and Carson Wells will represent CU at the 2022 East-West Shrine Bowl as part of the pre-NFL Draft process. Landman was a senior in the 2021 season and Wells was a junior, but Wells has opted to try his hand at the next level rather than play another season in Boulder.

The East-West Shrine Bowl will be held on Friday, Feb. 3 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, with a week of practices preceding the game. The bowl is considered the second-best bowl that NFL prospects can be invited to, behind the Reese’s Senior Bowl.

Landman finished his career as the 10th-leading tackler in CU history, with the all-time record for third-down stops. He snapped Colorado’s longest streak without an All-American in over 40 years.

Wells led the nation in tackles per loss per game in 2020, earning All-Pac-12 honors. He finished his career with 125 tackles with 22 for a loss, including 10 sacks.
