BOULDER — Spring ball is just around the corner.

The Colorado Buffaloes will kick off their spring camp on Wednesday with the first of 15 practices. Two of those practices will be scrimmages that are open to media and the public. The first is Sat., April 9 at 11:15 am and the second is the Spring Showcase on Sat., April 23 at 1 p.m. Both will be held at Folsom Field.

The other 13 practices will be closed to the public. However, former players, high school coaches, current players’ parents and donors are allowed to attend practice. Arrangements must be made with the football office in advance.

The NCAA permits football teams to practice 15 times over 34 days in the spring. It limits the number of full-contact practices, including only allowing three full scrimmages. Outside of the two scrimmages open to the public, Colorado will also hold a scrimmage April 16 that will have closed doors.

Colorado State opened all 15 of its practices to media and the public.

Stay tuned to DNVR for full coverage of spring camp, including head coach Karl Dorrell’s pre-spring press conference Tuesday afternoon.
