BOULDER — The recruiting heater is still rolling at Colorado.

Wide receiver Isaiah Hardge announced on Twitter on Wednesday that he is committed to Colorado. Hardge is the 10th commitment in Colorado’s 2023 recruiting class and sixth in the past 10 days. USC and Arizona are tied for the second-most commitments in the Pac-12 with 4 apiece. CU is one of three schools in the country with at least 10 commitments in the 2023 cycle.

Hardge, a Fort Lauderdale native, is fresh off a 7A Florida state championship with St. Thomas Aquinas, where his father is the wide receivers coach. He contribute 22 catches for 355 yards and six touchdowns, according to 247Sports. The roster, per usual for St. Thomas Aquinas, was littered with D1 talent.

Hardge, who stands 5-foot-10 and weighs 160 pounds, lined up on the boundary, in the slot and, occasionally, in the backfield for the Raiders. He’s a speed-threat who should take the top off of defenses for Colorado when he arrives in Boulder.

Hardge also had offers to Florida, Texas A&M, Penn State and plenty of other schools as a three-star prospect. The Penn State offer is particularly intriguing considering the undersized wide receiver talent they’ve put into the NFL, like KJ Hamler, Chris Godwin and Jahan Dotson (who will likely be chosen in the second round in April).

The draw to Boulder is fairly clear; head coach Karl Dorrell and wide receivers coach Phil McGeoghan combine for nearly two decades of experience coaching receivers in the NFL and have established themselves as two of the best in the business. Hardge is the second wide receiver in Colorado’s 2023 recruiting class, joining California-native Edward Schultz.

Now eyes turn to Conrad Hussey. The safety is another ’23 prospect from St. Thomas Aquinas and both he made the trip to Boulder with Hardge for a visit last weekend. He grades out slightly higher as a recruit and has a very similar offer list.
