Colorado adds a transfer lineman

BOULDER — ANOTHER ONE!

Arizona tackle Luke Eckardt announced on Twitter Saturday that he plans to transfer to Colorado. He spent one season in Tucson and has four years of eligibility remaining.

New CU offensive line coach Kyle DeVan held the same position at Arizona in 2020, when Eckardt committed to the Wildcats. DeVan was his lead recruiter, according to 247Sports. Eckardt entered the portal in late February, well after DeVan accepted the position at CU.

Eckardt is a lanky prospect who was listed at 6-7 and 265 pounds as a recruit. Arizona had him at 6-6 but didn’t list a weight. Regardless, Eckardt needs to put on some weight before he’ll be ready to see the field but he has the frame to wear it.
