BOULDER — Another Buff is leaving the program.
Colorado offensive lineman Chance Lytle announced Wednesday that he will enter the transfer portal. Lytle will have one year of eligibility remaining.

Lytle started three games at left guard in 2020 before a broken leg sidelined him for the rest of the season. He started the season-opener in 2021 at right tackle but played sparingly the rest of the season.
Colorado also lost starting center Colby Pursell and starting guard Kary Kutsch after the season. Guard Kanan Ray, who started twice last season, entered the portal last week. Both starting tackles, sophomore Jake Wiley and junior Frank Fillip are expected back. Junior guard Casey Roddick, who rotated in and out of the lineup, is expect back as well.
The Buffs’ line was the weakest unit on the team in 2021, so turnover was to be expected. Look for CU to add more competition for the starting jobs from the portal in coming days and months.
New offensive line coach Kyle DeVan is likely to have his hands full in 2022.
