Though the recovery period is lengthening after these two losses, let me make this argument.
So far, the Broncos have lost away, to teams that are set to go to the playoffs currently.
Based on the current standings, that would be a 10-7 record. That is also if we count a loss to Cincy, who technically qualify right now.
We need to fix penalties first and foremost. But, because we can incur those regardless of who we’re playing, we can also IMPROVE OUR DISCIPLINE regardless of opponent. What I’m saying here is if we can beat up on Cincy, we also can use it as a valid opportunity to improve discipline and eliminate penalties, and then carry that momentum over to other opponents.
IF that happens – which, after last season, I’m willing to basically ignore weeks 1-4 for morale purposes – I could see us going 13-4.
