ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Denver Broncos made a handful of roster moves this week ahead of their season finale against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Here are the details:

• They moved running back Marlon Mack and guard Dalton Risner to injured reserve.
  
• They promoted guard Will Sherman and cornerback Ja’Quan McMillian from the practice squad to the 53-man roster.
  
• They signed offensive linemen George Moore and Hunter Thedford to the practice squad,
  
• The Broncos now have a full practice squad and a full 53-man roster.

Dalton Risner may have played his last game for the Denver Broncos.

Risner, a lifelong Bronco fan and Wiggins, Colorado native, joined the Broncos as a second-round pick in 2019. He’s started every game he’s been healthy, but missed two games last season and six games this season with injuries. He’ll miss the season finale with an elbow injury that knocked him out of last Sunday’s game.

Risner’s rookie contract is set to expire after the season and where he’ll wind up is anybody’s guess. He’s a worthy starter in the NFL but the Broncos will look to rebuild a disappointing offensive line and Risner could be lost in the shuffle. Given the dearth of linemen in the NFL, Risner could be on his way to a payday and the Broncos may see him as one of the pieces to turn over in the trenches.

Third-year guard Will Sherman, who had spent his career on the Patriots’ practice squad until this season, will take his place on the 53-man roster this week. The Colorado grad is unlikely to see the field, unless the Broncos opt to try out some younger players in the season finale.

Running back Marlon Mack provided some big plays for the Broncos in the final month of the season but he won’t suit up in the regular season finale. Mack left last week’s game with a hamstring injury after the opening kickoff.

Mack, 26, isn’t under contract for next season but he could be in the Broncos plans. Only Tyler Badie, Chase Edmonds and Tyreik McAllister are under the Broncos’ control and expected to be healthy for training camp next season. Starter Javonte Williams is likely to be back sometime during the season. The Broncos will add a couple more backs this offseason, and retaining Mack could be an option.

Mack finishes the 2023 season with 84 rushing yards, 99 receiving yards and two total touchdowns.
