Trevor Siemian’s days in Denver are done.
The Broncos are finalizing a trade with the Vikings that will send the 26-year-old quarterback to the Twin Cities, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rappoport. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Broncos will send a late-round pick in 2018 to Minnesota with Siemian, in exchange for a pick in 2019.
Siemian, a former seventh-round pick out of Northwestern, started 24 games for the Broncos over the last two seasons and led them to a 13-11 record. He posted 79.9 passer rating with 30 touchdowns and 24 interceptions.
The Vikings agreed to a three-year contract with Kirk Cousins yesterday, which gave the former-Redskin the highest average salary in NFL history. Siemian also joins former teammate and Broncos fan-favorite Kyle Sloter in the Minnesota quarterbacks’ room.
Former Vikings quarterback Case Keenum agreed to a two-year, $36 million deal with Denver Monday night.
