The Broncos released 2017 third-round pick Carlos Henderson Thursday morning, according to 9News. Henderson was a member of the team’s practice squad.
Henderson didn’t show up for training camp because of personal issues and was suspended for the first week of the season due to a drug arrest during the offseason.
The wide receiver was injured for much of 2017 and never played a regular-season snap for the Broncos. In his one preseason appearance, he fumbled two kickoffs and suffered a season-ending injury to his thumb. The once highly-touted prospect led the FBS in missed tackles forced during his senior season at Louisiana Tech.
So far, no corresponding roster move has been announced, leaving one free space on the Broncos’ 10-man practice squad.
