A sixth former Denver Bronco is heading to Canton.

On Saturday, Brian Dawkins was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Ray Lewis, Brian Urlacher, Terrell Owens, Randy Moss, Jerry Kramer, Robert Brazile and Bobby Beathard will also be enshrined this summer.

The Clemson grad played the majority of his 16-year career with the Philadelphia Eagles, but capped it off with three seasons as the captain of the Broncos’ defense from 2009-2011. In that time he was named a First-team All-Pro and played in two Pro Bowls. He forced four fumbles and intercepted three passes in Denver, and placed second on the team with 116 total tackles in 2009.

During his time with the Eagles, Dawkins was a four-time First-team All-Pro and elected to seven Pro Bowls. He was named to the 1996 All-Rookie Team and the NFL’s 2000s All-Decade Team.

Fellow former-Bronco John Lynch and Ty Law were Hall of Fame finalists this year, but didn’t make the final cut.

Dawkins joins John Elway, Gary Zimmerman, Floyd Little, Shannon Sharpe and Terrell Davis as former-Broncos in the Hall of Fame. The Broncos have played in the second-most Super Bowls, but only six teams have fewer Hall of Famers.
