The Colorado Avalanche selected Canadian winger Sasha Mutala with the 140th overall pick in the 2019 NHL Draft. With the 171st pick the Avalanche chose Canadian center Luka Burzan.
Mutala, 18, played the last three seasons with the Tri-City Americans. At 6-foot-1 and 196 pounds, Mutala scored 41 points in 65 games this season.
Burzan, 19, played the last three seasons in the WHL with the Moose Jow Warriors and, most recently, the Brandon Wheat Kings. His statistical output consistently increased each year and he peaked this season with 78 points in 68 games.
The Avalanche have one pick remaining in the 2019 draft.
