Boy, do we need Girard back!
Byram too for that matter.
Saad too.
We need to once again become dangerous from more directions than the opponents can handle.

When you’re playing a great team in a crucial situation, the grades are always going to suffer

How hurt is MacK? The postseason depends on the answer. If last night is what we are going to get from him for the rest of the season and playoffs it will most likely be short. The Avs just aren’t as dangerous without the real MacK.

That top line really was awful. Maybe trying to do too much? Thrown off by the way Vegas was playing? They need to hit reset and take a different approach next time we face them.

I think this goes for the whole team. They seemed blindsided by the fact that Vegas came out with so much fire, physicality, and tenacious forecheck. What were they expecting? That because they had 15 skaters we’d just chalk up a “W”? Bednar rightly said there were some strong lessons to learn from this.

My hope is that it can be similar to Game 1 to Game 2 – Game 1 they seemed to play like all the preseason hype meant they didn’t have to show up. Game 2 they remembered that they have to work hard and earn it. When they do that they become a different team. Let’s hope that last night was the perfect get the W but still motivate and wake up for postseason.
