Makar’s stick handling needs some serious work. Too often he’s either bobbling it entirely, or just enough to lose the skating edge he gained on someone. Not giving up hope obviously, MacKinnon had the same issues for his first few years. Hopefully it doesn’t take Makar as long to figure that out.

First goal Zads was fine. It was the week side wing who didn’t sag down to cover the slot. I think it was donskoi. In fact with both d battling behind the net both wings should have collapsed have low.

I don’t believe any defensemen deserved a grade higher than a C and I dont believe

Nichushkin deserved a D. Bednar put him out there in there the 3rd with Donskoi/Kadri and he didn’t look out of place. Yes Burakovsky is looking better each game but his goal may have influenced a better grade than he deserved.

Oh well, this is all subjective. Keep up the good work Evan.

I think Landy deserves higher. I think he had a great game. To me he stood out.

Grubauer’s season is proof positive you need to watch the games to corroborate stats. He may have given up a few goals, but how many of them have really been on him? Super impressed with Grub through three games.
