

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Fifth-round draft picks are near locks to make NFL rosters their rookie season.
That wasn’t the case with the Denver Broncos and fifth-round pick Justin Joly this year.
On Sunday, the Broncos waived Joly as they set their initial 53-man roster. Shortly after setting their initial squad, general manager George Paton explained why.
