ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Preseason is in the books and the Denver Broncos‘ Week 1 date with the Kansas City Chiefs is just two weeks away.
But there’s one more item that needs to be taken care of before the season can officially kickoff. Sean Payton and George Paton must cut down the Broncos‘ roster.
By Sunday at 4:00 p.m. MDT, all NFL teams must cut their rosters down from 90 players to 53.
On Monday, teams will then begin building their practice squad, which will be filled with many players they release before Sunday’s deadline.
Here are the moves the Broncos made to knock the roster down to the final 53 players.
