Colorado to take on No. 20 Texas in the Alamo Bowl

Selection Sunday is in the books and the Buffs now know who they will take on this postseason.

CU announced Sunday that it had accepted an invitation to play in the Valero Alamo Bowl against No. 20 Texas on Dec. 29 at 7 p.m. Assuming all goes as planned, the Alamo Bowl will be the Buffs’ second postseason appearance in 13 years and first in four years.

No. 25 Oregon is the only other Pac-12 program participating in the postseason, as they’ll face off against No. 10 Iowa State in the Fiesta Bowl on Jan. 2.
