NFL cut day has arrived.

By early Saturday afternoon, every team in the NFL had to reduce its total number of rostered players from 80 to 53. All of the players who were released will go through waivers, where any team can claim them to join their 53-team roster. If multiple teams claim a player, the team with the earliest first-round draft pick in the 2020 NFL Draft will receive the rights to the player.

Any player who passes through waivers unclaimed will be an unrestricted free agent who can sign a contract to join the 53-man roster or practice squad of any team.

This year, NFL practice squads will increase in size from 12 players to 16 in an effort to add depth in case of COVID-19 outbreaks in NFL locker rooms. Teams will also be allowed to sign players with more than three years of experience to their practice squads, so every NFL free agent will be allowed to join a practice squad in 2020.

A handful of former Colorado Buffaloes were released on Friday and Saturday as teams cut their numbers to 53. A list of all players who were released and all former CU players who are still on NFL rosters can be found below.
