BOUDLER — The 2020-21 basketball season hasn’t been flawless for Colorado but it’s tough to complain when the Buffs are locked into their first top-4 finish in the Pac-12.
Now, they’ve added another accomplishment to their resume: a top-25 ranking.
For the first time this season, Colorado was ranked in Monday’s AP Top 25 Poll. The Buffs checked in at No. 24, following wins over USC and UCLA—the top two teams in the Pac-12 standings—last week. No other Pac-12 team was ranked.
With one game left on the schedule, Colorado is sitting in fourth place with nowhere to go but up. None of the teams behind Colorado in the standings can surpass CU, but there’s still one path alive for the Buffs to finish the season as Pac-12 standings.
- MONDAY
- Arizona beats Oregon (35.7% chance of this happening, per ESPN’s BPI)
- WEDNESDAY
- Oregon beats UCLA (61.6%)
- Stanford beats USC (22.4%)
- THURSDAY
- Colorado beats Arizona State (89.3%)
- SATURDAY
- USC beats UCLA (54.3%)
- SUNDAY
- Oregon State beats Oregon (30.8%)
The odds are slim—ESPN’s BPI gives Colorado a 0.7% chance to win the conference—but with nowhere to go but up, why not see if the Buffs can pull off a miracle.
