Wind: What to expect from our DNVR Nuggets coverage this season

It’s been a long road to get here.

I started at BSN Denver when we were a small internet startup not exactly sure who we were. We knew there was a clear void in the Denver sports landscape which we were aiming to fill, but we didn’t know what a company that fulfilled everything that today’s diehard sports fans crave looked like.

We had our share of ups and downs, triumphs and failures. But they all helped us get to this point.

Today, we launched DNVR. Four letters that represent our city, community, culture and most importantly our teams.

I can confidently say it’s what we’ve been striving to create since our inception.

DNVR is Denver.

We’re not a newspaper and we’re far different from other sports media sites.

We’re a community, a culture, a lifestyle, a brand, and a way of life. And we’re bringing that same attitude to our Nuggets coverage this season.

Myself, Adam Mares and Brendan Vogt are teaming together to provide what we hope will be the best Nuggets coverage this city has ever seen. It would have been impossible to follow the Nuggets closely over the last couple of seasons without being familiar with both Adam and Brendan’s work and to have all of us under one roof is something we’re truly excited about.

Adam’s voice in the Nuggets’ community is unique. He’s able to mix his strong knowledge of X’s and O’s with a deep understanding of the game which makes his coverage some of the best in town. Expect the same type of Nuggets content that you’re used to from Adam on DNVR.

Brendan’s voice is something entirely different but also completely unique. He has an incredible feel for the Nuggets community and his voice will live on at DNVR with the DNVR Nuggets Twitter handle.

Together, we’ll join forces to tell the stories you want to hear, keep you updated around the clock about what’s happening with the team at every practice, shootaround and game. We’ll analyze film, and break down every win, loss and burning storyline on the DNVR Nuggets Podcast.

We also want to push the boundaries of what it means to cover the Nuggets. We’re not going to put ourselves in a box and will experiment with types of content we never have before.

Most of all we want to foster a special sense of community within the Nuggets’ fanbase. Interact with us on Twitter. Come say hi to us at Nuggets games. Wear our DNVR merch designed exclusively by Denver’s favorite sports graphic designer, D Line Co. Come cheer on the Nuggets like crazy at our watch parties.

Launching DNVR at this moment in time is fitting because in a way, our company has grown as the Nuggets have grown.

Now, we’re both ready for our most exciting year yet.
