What they're saying: Rough week for the Ducks

It’s been an interesting week for the Oregon Ducks, coming off of their worst loss in recent memory, but they’ve had to regroup quickly, as a game that before the season would have looked like an easy cruise for the Ducks, has now become one that they must win.

“They’re playing with a ton of confidence,” said Helfrich, who is preparing to visit Colorado for the third time since leaving to join Chip Kelly’s staff in 2009. “The way things have set up for them, they’re absolutely riding high on offense, on defense, on special teams. They played really well last week, created a ton of turnovers, and you can see the confidence is building.”

From the Register-Guard: Colorado’s altitude another obstacle for Adams, who has sickle cell trait

“That’s tough. I’ve never been there before, but I’m still kind of scared,” Adams said after Wednesday’s practice when asked if he could play at that altitude. “I’ve been hydrating a lot and hopefully I’ll be all right. I have a little elevation mask, a training mask I’m using, just trying to get used to it.”
