Ware's sense of urgency to win at an all time high

DeMarcus Ware has almost everything anyone could ever want on a resume. 2008 NFC Defensive player of the year, eight time pro bowler, four time all pro first team, and two time NFL sacks leader. But something is missing. World Champion.

The Broncos are back to work at Dove Valley in the first phase of NFL offseason workouts, and DeMarcus Ware is hungry. “I think there is a sense of urgency every single year. Especially when you fall short for 10 years now. Each year is always like a rebirth or a new beginning or the new norm. Basically you do whatever you can to sort of be the best player you can be in the offseason and during the season.”

Ware joined the Broncos last year in hopes of capturing a championship but again fell short.

“You have to look at it like the time is now. It is urgent. You don’t know if you’re going to have another year or not. Take what you have right now and move forward.” Ware said.  “The time is now. What are you in this room for? Our motto was if you sit back and you think about the past, you can think about we could’ve done this in the playoffs, we could have done this two years ago. What about now? What about the guys in this room? How far can you take each other in this room?”

The mindset to win seems to be in place, now its time to see how far Ware and his teammates can take each other.
