The Colorado Buffaloes came up short against the no. 4 ranked Michigan Wolverines on Saturday. The 45-28 loss was a roller coaster of emotions as the Buffs jumped out to a 14-0 lead early in the first quarter, then gave up the lead in the 2nd quarter, and Colorado’s suffered injuries to starting quarterback Sefo Liaufau and kicker Diego Gonzalez.
Here are BSN Denver’s tweets of the game:
Colorado is different. No matter what happens from here, this program is different.

How you like dem khakis, Harbaugh!!!!

Jim Leavitt is dialing up some really nasty stuff. Brought Gamboa and Awuzie on that last play to force bad throw

Jim Leavitt deserves a ton of credit for this CU resurgence. This defense is pretty solid. @RunRalphieRun

This is the first time Michigan has allowed 21 points in any quarter under Jim Harbaugh.

Jim Leavitt is a witch! #GoBuffs

The Buffs are for real folks.
— BSNBuffs (@BSNBuffs) September 17, 2016
I’ve lived in Boulder for ten years, I’ve never seen anything like this from the Buffs. This is different.
— Jake Shapiro (@Shapalicious) September 17, 2016
They are literally outplaying Michigan in Ann Arbor and it’s a one score game because of special teams. This is a whole new kind of problem.
— Ted Chalfen (@TheGhostofMarv) September 17, 2016
I know life isn’t fair. But this is about the most unfair shit I’ve ever seen. Beating Michigan on the road? Good luck without your QB!
— Ted Chalfen (@TheGhostofMarv) September 17, 2016
Sefo Liufau just got re-taped on sidelines and is ready to go back in.#ToughBuff

Colorado’s punter is beating Colorado
— Dr. Saturday (@YahooDrSaturday) September 17, 2016
With a healthy Sefo, Colorado could very well beat Oregon next week. Without? MacIntyre era hanging in the balance.
— William Whelan (@William_Whelan) September 17, 2016
Here’s the challenge for Colorado going forward: finding out if today’s game was the ceiling for a senior-laden, MacIntyre-coached team.
— Shawn Drotar (@sdrotar) September 17, 2016
Well that was an exciting first half. Punt team crushed us. Sefo was a stud. This team is learning to compete with the best.
