DENVER — The Colorado Rockies were hopeful that their rookie sensation at shortstop, Trevor Story, would be ready to return to the field on Wednesday afternoon but instead are saying that he will only be available in an “emergency situation.”
That’s what manager Walt Weiss relayed to the media before the series finale against the Toronto Blue Jays, also saying that he doesn’t believe that Story will need a DL-stint.
In 73 games so far in his rookie campaign Story has hit .267 with 19 home runs and 50 RBI.
Stay tuned to BSN Denver for more on this story as it develops.
