The Denver Broncos seemed to be in mid-season form as they traveled to humid Cincinnati and made light work of the Bengals on Sunday, emerging victorious by the count of 29-17.

The Orange & Blue were three-point underdogs coming into the contest, a spot they seem to find themselves all too often these days, but showed the rest of the National Football League that they are a force to be reckoned with. Just like games prior, Denver was stellar in all three aspects of the game and are now only one of five unbeaten teams in the league.

Many players played lights-out football on Sunday, but these stars shined brightest.

Trevor Siemian

There had never been a quarterback in the history of the NFL who threw for 300+ yards, four touchdowns, and zero interceptions in their first career road start—until Sunday.

Siemian had by far the best game in his early NFL career, going 23-35 with 312-yards, four TDs and a 132.1 total passer rating. The most impressive stat of all, however, is Sunday marked the first game this season that the young star did not commit a turnover.

“As an offense, you want to find that rhythm as soon as you can,” Siemian said after the win. “Hopefully we can do that earlier next week.”

It is not only media and fans that are high on the rising star; pro-bowl cornerback Aqib Talib has nothing but phrase for No.13.

“We’ve seen it. We expect it. Not to toot our own horn, but if he can do it against us, he can do it against any team.”

Emmanuel Sanders & Demaryius Thomas

Since they did their postgame interview as one, we decided we can combine them into one for the purposes of three stars.

Combining for 57-percent of targets from Siemian on Sunday, the dynamic duo of Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas put up the numbers you would expect from the players with the two biggest contracts on the offense. 15 combined completions, 217 total yards, and three touchdowns. The two also each had a long touchdown reception of 41-yards and 55-yards respectfully.

Both Sanders and Thomas had expressed concern that they were not receiving enough targets, so Kubiak, offensive coordinator Rick Dennison and Siemian granted their wish.

The squeaky wheel gets the grease.

Shane Ray

Sunday marked the first time in team history that Denver had back-to-back games with two different players recording three or more sacks. Von Miller got to Colts quarterback Andrew Luck in Week 2, and Shane Ray followed suit in Week 3.

Ray, who was filling in for injured veteran DeMarcus Ware, had not notched a sack all season but was itching for the opportunity to prove that he was the correct choice to fill the gap. Ray had a career afternoon with not only three sacks, but two tackles for loss to help keep Denver perfect.

With Ware expected to miss extended time, look for Ray to continue improvement as he gets the opportunity to play full games.
