Hosting America’s Game of the Week against “America’s Team” isn’t supposed to be an easy task, just don’t tell the Denver Broncos that.

Denver blew the doors off of the Dallas Cowboys 42-17 with a complete game from all three phases—the Orange & Blue never trailed in the contest. It was the sixth consecutive victory over Dallas, the second longest streak of dominance in the NFL, the Cowboys haven’t won against the Broncos since Bill Clinton was in office.

While Denver as a unit gelled as much as they ever have, three players that went above and beyond—our three stars of the week.

C.J. Anderson

Newly reappointed offensive coordinator Mike McCoy has the Broncos offense rolling in both phases, and it starts on the ground

C.J. Anderson rushed for 118 yards on 25 attempts and one running score Sunday afternoon, including a bruising 28-yard run that saw the bowling ball plow over defenders on his way to his longest run of the season. Anderson also had three receptions for 36 yards and one touchdown in the air.

With his dominant performance on Sunday, C.J. is currently second in the league in rushing yards with 199, only behind rookie Kareem Hunt of Kansas City.

Trevor Siemian

Four touchdowns against one of 2016’s best football teams will sure quiet some skeptics out there.

Broncos’ quarterback Trevor Siemian looked like a seasoned pro on the field Sunday in the blowout, commanding the offense and making Dallas’ defense look like a block of swiss cheese. No. 13 was 22-of-32 for 231 yards and four touchdowns for a combined passer rating of 116.0 on the day.

With his play over the last two weeks, Siemian has thrown 450 yards and six touchdowns; the latter being tied for the league lead with Matthew Stafford of Detroit.

Emmanuel Sanders

Eight different Broncos caught passes from Siemian, but nobody benefited more than Emmanuel Sanders.

Sanders, who was relatively quiet in the Week 1 matchup against the Chargers, came out of his shell against Dallas catching two touchdowns in the first half in the victory. No. 10 averaged 10.3 yards per reception on the day.

It was not only his hands that made Sanders efficient Sunday, the speedy wideout also threw a crucial block on Anderson’s 28-yard scramble.

Bonus Star: Joe Woods

The defense was so dominant in this game that it’s hard to give any one guy a star without leaving out another deserving player. So, instead, we give a star to the man in charge of the unit.

The first-year DC put together a fantastic game plan in his second game calling plays and deployed a defense that held star running back to eight rushing yards, put down two sacks, two interceptions—one for a touchdown—and altogether shut down the Cowboys offense. When the entire defense plays as well as they did, the man in charge gets the star.
