Despite the Denver Broncos taking their second straight blowout loss, there were some players who stood out amongst the ugliness. With the Broncos reeling, these bright spots deserve credit for leaving it all on the field.

Brandon McManus

For the second straight week, kicker Brandon McManus was perfect.

The fourth-year leg out of Temple was responsible for 100 percent of Denver’s points in the first half, hitting kicks of 39, 33, and 36 yards respectfully within the first 30 minutes of the blowout. Not only did No. 8 score every point in the half, McManus also accounted for 62.5 percent of Denver’s total output.

McManus has not missed a kick in a month and has scored roughly 48 percent of Denver’s total points in that span.

Emmanuel Sanders

After being injured and not close to 100 percent over the last two weeks, wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders was out to prove a point—which he did early.

Sanders was seemingly unstoppable in the first half as he hauled in 114 of quarterback Brock Osweiler’s 128 total yards in the first half for 22.8 yards per reception. The impressive showing in two quarters was the 15th time Sanders had eclipsed the century mark before the half and second fastest in his career. No. 10 would have a relatively quiet second half but finish with 137-total yards, leading all receivers and a season-high for the veteran.

Sanders was also named a “Sunday Standout” on Pro Football Focus with his 89.4 overall grade.

Bradley Roby

There’s a reason Bradley Roby only had two tackles Sunday night—he was not given many chances.

Roby was a blanket all night as Tom Brady only targeted the young cornerback a total of three times which resulted in a loss of three yards, a no gain, and a pass breakup. The only time Roby allowed a positive yard in the contest was late when Brady was able to find Brandin Cooks on a screen pass when the game was all but over.

Roby’s overall grade of 83.9 on PFF was highest on the defensive side of the ball.
