The Weekly Cut: A day at Crisp Barber Shop with Broncos' Will Parks (Pt. 1)

I started going to Crisp Barber Shop about three years ago and instantly fell in love. The barber shop is a place where everybody can be who they are.

It doesn’t matter if you walked in from the street with a bag of coins, or you pulled up in a Ferrari, when you sit in that chair, you’re on the same level as the person next to you.

With that in mind, sometime along the years of cuts at Crisp, the owner, Joey Romero, and I dreamt up the idea of one day bringing our crafts together. Doing a show in the shop where we bring in athletes and just let them be themselves. No questions about whose next on the schedule or how they feel about the team, just a chance to sit down and be who they are.

As the shop grew its presence, athletes around town took notice and suddenly many of the Broncos were coming in anyway. The stars aligned and our vision finally came to light.

So, without further ado, here is the very fist episode of  what we’re calling The Weekly Cut, a show we’ll be bringing you on a regular basis with different Broncos. Our fist guest is rookie safety Will Parks.

Parks, the star of last week’s incredible game-winning play against the New Orleans Saints, chats with us about his hunt for a good Philly cheesesteak, his favorite music these days and much, much more.
