2015 marks the ninth time in Rockies franchise history where the club has left the opening month of the season with a winning record. This historically hasn’t been great for the Rockies.

*Team reached playoffs
Colorado has only turned one winning record in April into a season where the club reached the playoffs. This occurred in 1995 when the season started in late April due to the 1994 MLB work stoppage, and the Rockies only played five games that month.
Only twice in team history have the Rockies turned a winning April into a season where they finished with a winning record.
This is the third straight season Colorado has had a winning April, and the Rockies lost a combined 184 games in the last two seasons.
If the Rockies are to continue their good start, they’ll have to buck the trend that has been set in the month of April.
