1. I liked this play design to get Jamal Murray open for three out of a horns set. I don’t think I’ve seen it before with Murray in what is typically a forward spot. With four point guards on the court, Michael Malone is able to get creative with unique play designs like this one.

2. The Denver Nuggets haven’t run a lot of shooters off of multiple screens in the Malone era but with so many point guards on the roster, there are more opportunities to get Murray coming off of multiple pindowns and stagger screens like the one below.

3. Jamal Murray has pretty sloppy footwork for a 20+ point per game scorer. He was open for a catch and shoot three but goes right into dribble drive mode before realizing how open he is off of the “strong” (double pindown) screen.

4. Murray has been giving great effort on the defensive end. Further evidence of his growing leadership.

5. JaMychal Green won’t get an assist or any statistical recognition for this three-pointer but it was his cut in transition that opened things up for Nikola Jokic to find Monte Morris at the top of the key.

6. Jokic is good for at least one of these passes per game, where he keeps his eyes on the cutter before throwing a no-look dime to the corner.

7. As hard as Facundo Campazzo works on defense, there are still few ways to hide him in moments like the one below where he gets switched out onto a center.

8. Anthony Edwards does a nice job of sagging off of PJ Dozier on this dribble handoff attempt. Dozier can punish him by jogging into his chest before making his move. Close the gap on the defender to force them to react quicker, rather than allowing them to pad the space between you.

9. The Jokic-Porter two-man game.

10. Here is a great example of how Porter will break from the play design to attack in a way that doesn’t lend itself to the other Nuggets players being able to play off of him.

11. Everyone on the Nuggets’ roster misses assignments or gets beat off of the dribble but it is plays like the one below that only Porter makes.

12. He also needs to work on fighting through screens.

13. Bol Bol also makes these mistakes which is why he is out of the rotation.

14. Monte Morris was getting bullied by De’Aaron Fox.

15. Paul Millsap would probably like to have this play over again.
