Say goodbye to Broncos Stadium and hello to Empower Field.

Since January of 2018, Mile High has been in search of a new name. Following previous sponsor Sports Authority’s 2016 bankruptcy filing, the Broncos announced their stadium would be titled ‘Broncos Stadium at Mile High’ while the organization searched for a replacement sponsor.

Well, after a long search, Empower Retirement has entered into a 21-year deal that will maintain the stadium’s new name through 2039. Empower employs 2,700 people at its Denver headquarters and is the second-largest retirement services company in the country.

Ever heard that a boat without a name is bad luck? It seems that the same is true for stadiums. While Mile High was without a sponsor, the Broncos recorded a 3-7 home record in combined pre-season and regular season match-ups.

Maybe a new name will right the orange and blue ship.

The Broncos will debut the new sponsor in an afternoon match-up against the Chicago Bears Sunday, September 15 at Empower Field at Mile High.
