The Denver Broncos owned picks 250, 251, and 252 in the 2015 NFL Draft. all three were compensatory and all three players will have a tough time making the team. Lets see how the Broncos did.
250. Northwestern QB Trevor Siemian
Siemian is a 6’2, 212 pound QB from Northwestern that appears to be extremely raw. He never threw for more than 11 touchdowns in a season and never surpassed 2300 yards passing. The choice of Siemian over CSU Pueblo’s Chris Bonner was a head scratcher to many in the area.
251. Tulane DB Taurean Nixon
Taurean Nixon will be joining his teammate Lorenzo Doss in Denver. The Broncos have now selected both starting cornerbacks from Tulane. The 6’0, 185 pound corner recorded one interception in 2014.
252. OK State LB Josh Furman (Transfer from Michigan)
This is a pick that has a very good chance of making the team in 2015. At 6’1, 210 pounds, Furman is an ultra athletic linebacker that has played safety and will look to be a prime candidate to make a splash in the modern passing era of the NFL where athltic linebackers are at a premium. Furman once beat Denard Robinson in the 40 yard dash and may turn some heads if he can get past the development curve.
