Mathis will compete to be the No. 4 cornerback in a competition headlined by Michael Ojemudia and Essang Bassey. But he believes he’s one of a kind, saying, “I really don’t emulate anyone. I try to pattern my game after myself.”
The Broncos’ first two picks in the draft will certainly have a role their rookie season.

”You just can’t have enough pass rushers,” George Paton said six days before the NFL Draft. And he backed that up by selecting Oklahoma edge rusher Nik Bonitto with the No. 64 overall pick.
