Colorado sports information director and associate athletic director, David Plati has confirmed to BSNDenver.com that University of Colorado defensive tackle, Josh Tupou will not be a member of the Colorado Buffaloes this fall.

“Josh (Tupou) will not be a member of the team this fall,” Plati said. “Due to student privacy laws, we are not permitted to go into specifics as to why.”

Multiple sources say Tupou has been suspended, and the suspension comes due to his involvement in the University Hill brawl that took place in early February.

Tupou was accused of tackling fellow student Christopher Tetreault, and punching him three to four times in the face at the party. Tetreault was transported to Boulder Community Hospital and was treated for multiple broken bones in his face. A warrant was issued for Tupou’s arrest, and he turned himself in, but according to a Daily Camera report on April 17th, Boulder’s DA had dismissed the case against Tupou for the time being. To

The school has made a different decision, and now the Buffaloes will be without the anchor of their defensive line this season.
