Solomon Patton using versatility to make case for roster spot

Earlier in the week I wrote about a couple of young Broncos receivers turning heads at training camp, and one of them is still turning up the heat. Solomon Patton.

Patton made a pair of spectacular touchdown grabs at Friday’s morning session of camp and is adding those to his already solid camp resume. Kubiak noted he has done this on a couple of occasions, and has been continually impressed by the third year wide-out. “We know that returning has been a specialty of his, and he keeps going out there and making more plays as a wide-out it’s going to make him that much more valuable to making this football team.”

Patton may be good enough to make the roster on his special team ability alone, but he knows he can do more than just return kicks. “I honestly feel I can help this team in all types of ways, any types of special teams, and any part of the offense, I feel like I can help this team.”
