We usually don’t get to see much of Avalanche players when they’re rehabbing from injury. While the Avs are one of the most open teams in the NHL about the general nature of injuries to players, once they are out, you don’t see or hear from them much. It’s team policy that injured players can’t talk to the media, at least on the record. Occasionally, there are exceptions, but that’s it.
Well, thanks to the wonder of social media, in particular the Instagram account of Avs goalie Semyon Varlamov, we can take a peek into his workout routines as he recovers from mid-season hip/groin surgery.
Varly is looking nimble here in this quick-footed exercise. By all accounts, he’ll be 100 percent for training camp in September.
