Through a statement released by Colorado State, ROOT Sports TV Network will be broadcasting three Rams games on their network for the 2016 season. The announcement came directly from the Mountain West Conference and ROOT Sports.
ROOT Sports and the Rams have partnered up in the past and will continue that partnership moving forward. The primarily Rocky Mountain region based broadcasting company has a reach of approximately 10 million viewers across 17 states, bringing CSU coverage to a wide variety across the nation.
The three games that will be broadcast on ROOT are the Rams third, eight and ninth games. Starting with the annual Ag Day matchup with the UNC Bears on September 17th, followed by the two conference matchups later in the year against UNLV (October 22nd), and Fresno State (November 5th).
With ROOTS on board the Rams now have 10 games picked up by several different major TV networks. Starting with the Rocky Mountain Showdown on ESPN, who’s broadcasting four other Rams contests on their family of networks. While CBS Sports Network will be carrying the Utah State and San Diego State matchups.
The Green and Gold’s second game against UTSA and their fourth game at Minnesota are the only remaining games that don’t yet have a broadcasting partner set, or announced. The school will announce those broadcasts as well, in the following weeks.
