Random question that has very little to do with the Rockies: with the recent Cano and Castillo suspensions, it appears that both the Mariners and White Sox are able to bring in another player to fill their roster spot. When Nolan/Parra/German got suspended for the Padres dust-up, we weren’t able to bring up replacement player for their 25-man roster spots. What gives???
I’m sure this is way in the weeds of the CBA, but it seems unfair (or at least inconsistent) to make a team play down a player for more minor on-field altercations, but not when a player has been using PEDs.
