If Tapia is on the team next year it will be a mistake. He’s not a replacement level player.

AuthorInteresting. What makes you say that. Is it the shortcomings on defense and the bases? I think he’s shown pretty clearly that his bat will play at MLB but I can definitely understand why anyone would want to move in another direction. Would you try to trade him or just cut him outright?

Defense is average or a little above. Offense is lacking. I think he’s clearly shown that his bat doesn’t play at this level. Negative WAR.
I would try to trade him but I would be happy to DFA him if can’t get a deal done.
