AuthorBeen having some issues with this lately but I think I’ve figured it out. Sorry about that!

Thanks for the lowdown, Eric. Please let us know if you notice any other issues or if you have any questions to ask or topics to discuss. Believe it or not, this is a better place for us to chat than Twitter, oftentimes.

What a clown. Desmond has not been good this year. His WAR is minus 1.1, the 4th lowest of any player in the NL. The Rockies and their shills need to own this.

The same metrics are equally as unfavorable to Daniel Murphy, too, who’s also done a solid job this year. Part of WAR is based upon the player’s position, so with some of the game’s top offensive players in center field, where Desmond has played, he has been punished slightly because of this.
I’m glad you pointed this out. I think some of Desmond’s value this year cannot be calculated via stats: he’s allowed both Blackmon and Dahl to move to the corners and stay healthier. There’s a lot to unpack with Desmond, as always, and I’d love to hear more of your thoughts on this topic.
