On this episode of the BSN Rockies Podcast, Drew Creasman talks about the Colorado Rockies movement at the 2018 trade deadline and how it compares with some of the moves across the National League. Should they have done more to address their issues and can they still? Have the other teams leapfrogged the Rockies in terms of talent?

Completely agree with the point about how “winning the deadline” or “winning the offseason” is not an indicator of future success. When the Rockies signed Hampton/Neagle in the 2000-2001 offseason, that was a “win the offseason” type of move; but last I checked there were no 2001 banners up at Coors Field. Same goes for the 2010-2011 offseason when they gave out the lucrative extensions to CarGo & Tulo. “Winning” moves at the time, but no championship banners either.
Regarding this years’ team: the Rockies don’t NEED a LOOGY the need someone who can get left-handed batters out. Whether he throws left-handed, right-handed, with both hands, or shoots the ball out of his chest doesn’t matter.
