So…I think the argument on lineup construction from Manny is flawed in one big way. The game doesn’t start in the 3rd inning. it starts in the first. and why I get why the argument makes a certain about of sense, it ignores a crucial point which is, the team that scores first wins much more often. So it’s imperative to have the highest on base guys at the top and your power guys behind them. That way you run a statistically higher chance of starting the game 2-0 or 3-0.
