Almonte call up (and even more so, McMahon demotion) has caught everyone by surprise. The 3-man bench has to be temporary, the questions are: how long, and what is the next move? The most obvious move is that Almonte is sent back down after he helps give the pen a breather this weekend, but McMahon can’t be recalled for at least 10-days (I think that’s the rule) so could we see another surprising roster move before the CA road-trip? I guess we’re all out here pretending to playing checkers while Bridich is playing 12-dimensional chess.
