On this episode of the BSN Rockies Podcast, Drew Creasman breaks down the victory in Game 1 over the Pittsburg Pirates featuring excellent performances from German Marquez, Charlie Blackmon, and Trevor Story. We answer some questions from Twitter and Facebook Live including how crazy it is that the Rockies have dominated on the road and struggled at home. Plus, we dive into the statistical ramifications of that in yet another addition of trying to make sense of the numbers for Colorado Rockies hitters.

So, just skimmed through the official transaction reports for each team and it looks like every other team in the MLB has had at least 1 roster move on their active roster. We’re 3 weeks into things here and the Rockies haven’t changed a single thing on the active roster (Nolan suspension isn’t technically a roster move really).
Writing this just after the news about CarGo’s hamstring tightness so if he goes on the DL, that would obviously be the first roster transaction for the active roster. Is this incredibly lucky health for the Rox, or is it uncharacteristic loyalty from the Rockies FO/manager? Health for sure plays a part, but it does seem like this is a trend that plays out most years and the Rockies are very reluctant to make any changes (i.e. sticking with Amarista all season in 2017).
